Controlling Your Asthma
There are several things you can do to help manage your asthma
symptoms successfully1:
- Talk to your healthcare provider about the medicines you are taking and get a good understanding of:
- How your medicine works.
- How much medicine to take.
- When to take your medicine.
- Possible side effects from the medicine. - Do your best to avoid things you know or suspect are asthma triggers.
- Prepare yourself by becoming familiar with the signs of an oncoming asthma attack.
- Ask your healthcare provider to describe exactly what you should do when you feel an asthma attack coming on.
- Follow up with your healthcare provider to be sure that you have answers to your questions about asthma.
